Okay, I am a firm believer in, "if you don't vote, you can't complain!", but.....I am going to break my own rule and say.....WHAT IN THE WORLD AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!!
As I pointed out here....Pia, Lauren and Paul were my faves, and the very best on AI this year. Pia, may be the best singer ever on AI! Which is why I really am in such shock over the last two weeks of American Idol.
Pia's elimination was the most ridiculous thing that has happened since Christ Daughtry getting kicked off during the top 4 of season 5 (almost as ridiculous as Taylor Hicks winning!) Seriously America.....Stefano is really better? I wouldn't even take one of his cd's if you gave it to me for free (He is boring...and predictable, and everything he sings sounds the same)!!! And Jacob?.....are we kidding ourselves thinking that his screaming is really anything anyone who watches AI would ever buy? Aggghhhh!!!! I can't believe that they are still there and that Pia, the Mariah/Whitney combo is gone!
....And Paul....Well, I just love his Chris Martin dancing ways, and his raspy voice! He is an actual musician...you know the kind that writes songs, and plays instruments.....someone with a little character who has actually paid some dues and who really deserved to be there longer... (not win...Pia was supposed to do that)! I will miss his florals the most!
So...here is a little tribute to my two lost faves!
Btw....I absolutely loved Lauren Alaina's performance of The Climb....and the fact that Jimmy said she is a better singer than Miley!!! HA, that was awesome...and so true!!!!

I haven't watched AI or much of anything else actually, but I have been reading all my friends' FB status updates. Hubby and I even went on wiki to see how non-winners fare and some made it even bigger than the winner, so I have no doubt that those most-deserving will eventually end up where they should. Bummer that they don't get the title though. I watched DWTS awhile back and it was just crazy how people vote by popularity instead of those who can actually dance.
AMEN! I was so mad last night I told Ian that I might not watch the rest because I was so disgusted!
I haven't been watching as much as I would have liked this season, but my friend keeps me up to date. I was shocked that Pia went as soon as she did, however, I'm still happy my guy got saved. I think its the lumberjack look. :) Thanks for linking up today Danielle.
I've never, ever followed AI but those of you who do always keep me posted!! Everything in life really does boil down to popularity and politics it seems. Still, such great exposure, such an awesome accomplishment to make it that far :)
I have never seen AI but I have heard this year has had amazing talent and have definitely heard the backlash from sending Pia home! I have heard that she will have an amazing career, anyway!

I was really surprised that Paul got voted out this early. I expected him to outlast Jacob, Stefano, & maybe even Hailey. The talent is so awesome this season that character & personality are playing a huge role in the voting. I can't wait til next week!
