About a month or so ago, I saw this on a friend's blog....and then several others...and I loved the concept! Lately I feel like I have constantly been saying to my girls that we need to have thankful hearts, that rejoice in the small things, and be content with all that we have. In light of that, I have been convicted about my own lack of contentment..in the face of enormous blessing, and have decided to start being grateful to my loving Father for all that He has given me! So here begins my list of 1000 gifts!
1. My salvation and the way God plucked me out of the darkness! (The more I look back into my past the more amazing this seems!)
2. An amazing husband....who knows me completely...and still loves me more than I can comprehend.
3. Two beautiful girls who I am so proud to call my daughters.
4. An amazing group of friends who I can be real with.....who encourage and love me despite my insanity....and who help me look a little more like Jesus each day!
5. A church that is about pursuing God!
6. Alec and Tammy, Allison, Stacy...and many others who have poured into me.
7. An education.......so many don't have access to it.....I am thankful for mine!
8. Growing up in NYC.....a place where the whole world sits at your doorstep....literally!

Your family is so beautiful. I love your header. Our home also spans many cultures. I enjoyed reading your list. I feel the same. I am thankful for my education (even though I stay home). It will come in handy this fall as we homeschool. I am also thankful for great friends too. What a blessing they have been. Now I am starting a new list...this gratitude thing is contagious!
